5.17 Increpationem ergo Domini ne reprobes. Ibid. Reprobat qui se injuste pati conqueritur. Eliphaz is using the word translated and to indicate that Job should not despise God’s chastening because he is blessed as someone whom God is correcting. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could indicate this in your translation. Alternate translation: “so do not despise the chastening of the Almighty”
