ULTAnd all the men of Judah answered to the men of Israel, “Because the king is near to me. And why does this burn to you concerning this matter? Have we surely eaten from the king? Or has he certainly lifted for us?”

USTThe soldiers from Judah replied, “We did it because the king is from Judah. Why are you angry about this? The king has never paid for our food, and he has never given us any gifts.”
