OET (OET-LV) If for I_may_be_praying with_a_tongue, the spirit of_me is_praying, but the the_mind of_me unfruitful is.
In this section Paul instructed the Corinthian believers about how they should worship God together. First, he compared prophecy and tongues. He stressed the value of prophecy for building up the church. Then he said they should conduct their worship services in an orderly and harmonious way. They were not to speak all at once. People who spoke in tongues should have someone to interpret, and women were to remain silent in the assembly.

In this paragraph Paul discussed the importance of using one’s understanding while worshiping God. He told people who speak in tongues in church to interpret what they say, so that other people can understand and benefit from it.
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays but my thoughts are not useful to me or to others.
For if people pray using an unknown/miraculous language, although their heart/liver may pray, their brain doesn’t produce any helpful thing.
For if I pray in a tongue: Paul used himself as an example, but what he said refers to anyone who might pray in a tongue.
my spirit prays: The word spirit refers to the inner part of a person, something separate from his conscious thoughts.

but my mind is unfruitful: There are two ways to interpret the Greek phrase that the BSB translates as my mind is unfruitful:
It means that Paul’s mind does not produce anything that is helpful or beneficial to Paul or to his listeners. For example:
my mind is unproductive (NRSV) (BSB, NRSV, NIV, ESV, RSV, NET, NJB, CEV, REB, GW, KJV)
It means that Paul’s mind is not active or involved. He does not know what he is saying. For example:
I don’t understand what I am saying (NLT) (NLT, GNT, NCV)
It is recommended that you follow interpretation (1). This is supported by many commentariesSee, for example, Fee, pp. 669, Ellingworth & Hatton, pp. 312, Verbrugge & Harris, pp. 381, Kistemaker, pp. 491. and versions.

Here Paul uses the conditional form to show that praying in a tongue leads to the spirit praying but the mind being unfruitful. Alternate translation: [Whenever I pray in a tongue, my spirit] or [Suppose that I pray in a tongue. Then, my spirit]

Here Paul uses the first person to give himself as an example. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate the first person as a generic third person, or explicitly state that Paul is an example. Alternate translation: [somebody would pray … his or her … his or her]

Here, spirit could refer to: (1) the inner part of a person, a part that contrasts with the mind but that is not somehow superior or closer to God. Alternate translation: [my inner spiritual being prays] or [my heart prays] (2) the Holy Spirit directing the spirit of a person. Alternate translation: [the Holy Spirit prays with my spirit] or [the Holy Spirit directs my inner spiritual being in prayer]

Here Paul speaks as if his mind were a plant or tree that could produce “fruit.” He states that his mind is unfruitful to indicate that it is not doing anything useful, just like a fruit tree that does not produce fruit. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express this figure of speech with a comparable metaphor or express the idea plainly. Alternate translation: [my mind does nothing] or [my mind is not involved]
14:14 Speaking in tongues engages the spirit of the speaker (because the Holy Spirit is speaking through the person) but not his mind (because the message is not rationally intelligible).
