OET (OET-LV) And_I_will_give to/for_them in_house_of_my and_in_walls_of_my a_monument and_a_name good more_than_sons and_more_than_daughters a_name_of perpetuity I_will_give to_him/it which not it_will_be_cut_off.
OET (OET-RV) I will give them a monument and a good name in my house and inside my walls
⇔ that’s better than sons and daughters.
⇔ I’ll give them a permanent good reputation which won’t be terminated.
Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns
וְנָתַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֜ם & אֶתֶּן ל֔וֹ
and,I_will_give to/for=them & give to=him/it
Yahweh shifts from the plural pronoun them, which refers to the eunuchs as a group, to the singular pronoun him, which refers to each individual eunuch. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [I will give to all of them … I will give to each one of them]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / hendiadys
יָ֣ד וָשֵׁ֔ם
memorial and,a_name
The phrase a hand and a name expresses a single idea. The word hand tells more about the kind of name, indicating a lasting memorial. If it would be more natural in your language, you could express this meaning in a different way. Alternate translation: [a lasting memorial] or [an honorable reputation]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / merism
מִבָּנִ֣ים וּמִבָּנ֑וֹת
more,than_sons and,more,than_daughters
Yahweh is referring to all of a person’s children by naming two major components, sons and daughters. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [than children]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵֽת
which/who not cut_off
The expression that will not be cut off is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [that no one will ever destroy]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵֽת
which/who not cut_off
Yahweh is speaking of ending or destroying someone’s reputation as if it were something that could be cut off. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [that will never end]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
