וְ⁠הֶחֱזִיקוּ֩ שֶׁ֨בַע נָשִׁ֜ים בְּ⁠אִ֣ישׁ אֶחָ֗ד

and,they_will_take_hold seven women/wives on,a_man one(ms)

Isaiah says seven women will seize one man as an extreme statement for emphasis. He means that so many men will have died that very few will remain. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a different way to express the emphasis. Alternate translation: [so few men will remain that many women will beg to share even one man]

בַּ⁠יּ֤וֹם הַ⁠הוּא֙

in_the=day (the)=that

Yahweh is using the phrase in that day to refer to a specific time. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [at that time]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

יִקָּרֵ֤א שִׁמְ⁠ךָ֙ עָלֵ֔י⁠נוּ

he/it_will_be_called name_of,your on,us

The expression let your name be called over us is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [please marry us and give us your name]

יִקָּרֵ֤א שִׁמְ⁠ךָ֙ עָלֵ֔י⁠נוּ

he/it_will_be_called name_of,your on,us

The women are using let your name be called over us as a common expression of the culture to mean “let us be known as belonging to you through marriage.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [let us be known as your wives]

אֱסֹ֖ף חֶרְפָּתֵֽ⁠נוּ

This is an imperative, but it communicates a polite request rather than a command. If the imperative does not communicate a polite request for your readers, then use a form in your language that communicates a polite request. It may be helpful to add an expression such as “please” to make this clear. Alternate translation: [Please take away our reproach]

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of reproach, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [our shameful feeling that comes from having no husband]
