Isaiah is now addressing Hezekiah directly. He is no longer speaking in the first person on behalf of Yahweh (although he will do that again in verses 32–34). It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [And this will be the sign for you, Hezekiah]

If your language would not represent number in forms such as second or third, you could represent these numbers in forms that your language would use. Alternate translation: [and in year two … But in year three] or [and next year … But in the year after that]

Yahweh is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [you will eat its offspring] or [you will eat what grows from that]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
