If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [Because the wicked have not sought your statutes, salvation is far from them]

The psalmist is speaking of Yahweh not saving the wicked as if Salvation were an object that was physically far from them. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [The wicked have no hope of being delivered]

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of Salvation, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [Being saved]
