Sermonem autem dicit, quia plus in sermone consideratur vel constitit hujus dispensatio mysterii, et maxime Dominico verbo ea quæ apparent in aliud majus et intelligibile tranferente. Unde et de manna ait: Hic est panis quem dedit vobis Dominus ad comedendum, hic est sermo quem constituit Dominus Exod. 16.. In his ergo significat quia sanctum mysterium illis agentibus et Dominicam cœnam celebrantibus advenit Spiritus sanctus.
