¶ “Yes, there’s no other sword like it,” said David. “Get it for me.”[ref]

21:9 The sword of Goliath, which David used to decapitate the giant (17:51), had been taken as war spoils, as had Goliath’s head (17:54).
• The ephod mentioned here might not have been the priestly garment of the same name; some passages give the impression that an ephod could also be a statue (Judg 8:27; 18:17).

Ahimelech is using the term behold to focus David’s attention on what he is about to say. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation. See how you translated this term in [2:31](../02/31.md).
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
הִ֞יא לוּטָ֣ה בַשִּׂמְלָה֮ אַחֲרֵ֣י
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said Dāvid to,Ahimelech and,not is_there here at hand_of,you spear or sword that/for/because/then/when also/even sword_of,my and=also weapons_of,my not brought in/on/at/with,hand_of,me that/for/because/then/when it_became business_of the=king urgent )
If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [we have wrapped it in a cloak and put it behind]
Note 5 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result
אִם־אֹתָ֤הּ תִּֽקַּח־לְךָ֙ קָ֔ח כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין אַחֶ֛רֶת זוּלָתָ֖הּ בָּזֶ֑ה

If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [since no other except it is in this place, if you would take it for yourself, take]
Note 6 topic: grammar-connect-exceptions
אֵ֥ין אַחֶ֛רֶת זוּלָתָ֖הּ בָּזֶ֑ה

If it would appear in your language that Ahimelech was making a statement and then contradicting it, you could reword this as a positive statement. Alternate translation: [it is the only one in this place]
Note 7 topic: figures-of-speech / imperative
תְּנֶ֥נָּה לִּֽי

This is an imperative, but it communicates a polite request rather than a command. Use a form in your language that communicates a polite request. It may be helpful to add an expression such as “please” to make this clear.
