Here Moses uses the phrase give it into your hand as if the city were an object that Yahweh could physically place into the Israelites’ hands. The “hand” represents power and control. Moses is using mouth of the sword as a common expression of his culture to mean “to kill everyone” or “to completely destroy in battle.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning or you could state the meaning plainly.
