OET (OET-LV) And_if into a_city he_will_be_gathered and_they_will_cause_to_bring all_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to the_city (the)_that ropes and_we_will_drag DOM_him/it to the_wadi until that not it_has_been_found there also a_pebble.
OET (OET-RV) If he escaped into some city, we’d all bring ropes to that city and drag the stones into the valley until even a pebble couldn’t be found there.”

withdraws
Here, David himself represents him and all of his forces. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [he gathers his forces]

until (Some words not found in UHB: and=if to/towards (a)_city withdraws and,they_will_cause_to_bring all Yisrael to/towards the=city (the),that ropes and,we_will_drag DOM=him/it until the,wadi until when not he/it_was_found there also/yet pebble )
Hushai is assuming that David would retreat into a fortified city that had been built on a hill above a valley or ravine through which water sometimes flowed. Since [16:2](../16/02.md) indicates that it was summer at this time, Hushai may not be expecting that water would be flowing. So you may wish to describe this feature without implying that there would be water in it. Alternate translation: [down into the ravine below]

not he/it_was_found (Some words not found in UHB: and=if to/towards (a)_city withdraws and,they_will_cause_to_bring all Yisrael to/towards the=city (the),that ropes and,we_will_drag DOM=him/it until the,wadi until when not he/it_was_found there also/yet pebble )
Hushai is using the term found in a way characteristic of his language and culture to mean that such a pebble will not be able to be found, that is, it will not be there. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. If you have already translated the book of 1 Samuel, see how you translated the similar expression in [1 Samuel 9:8](../../1sa/09/08.md). Alternate translation: [not even a pebble will be there]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / hyperbole
לֹא־נִמְצָ֥א שָׁ֖ם גַּם־צְרֽוֹר
not he/it_was_found (Some words not found in UHB: and=if to/towards (a)_city withdraws and,they_will_cause_to_bring all Yisrael to/towards the=city (the),that ropes and,we_will_drag DOM=him/it until the,wadi until when not he/it_was_found there also/yet pebble )
We recommend that you represent this overstatement in your translation, like the ones in the previous two verses.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
