OET (OET-LV)and they_are_proclaiming customs that it_is_ not _permitting for_us to_be_accepting nor to_be_practicing, being Ɽōmaios.

OET (OET-RV)and teaching behaviour that we as Romans can neither accept nor practice.”

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / doublet

παραδέχεσθαι οὐδὲ ποιεῖν

/to_be/_accepting nor /to_be/_practicing

The terms accept and practice mean similar things. The crowd in Philippi is using the two terms together for emphasis. If it would be clearer for your readers, you could express the emphasis with a single phrase. Alternate translation: “practice at all”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

16:13-36 Luke gives his readers cameos of three lives touched by the Good News in Philippi: a wealthy woman (16:14-15), an exploited slave girl (16:16-21), and a middle-class officer (16:23-36).

OET (OET-RV)and teaching behaviour that we as Romans can neither accept nor practice.”

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
