 ⇔  Yahweh’s special one lives in security beside him.
 ⇔  He protects him all day long,
 ⇔  ≈ and Yahweh places him on his chest.”

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / possession

יְדִ֣יד יְהֹוָ֔ה

beloved_of YHWH

Moses is using the possessive form to describe The beloved as someone who is characterized by being loved by Yahweh. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [The one whom Yahweh loves] or [The one who is loved by Yahweh]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

יִשְׁכֹּ֥ן לָבֶ֖טַח

(Some words not found in UHB: of,Benjamin he/it_had_said beloved_of YHWH rests to,security on/upon/above=him/it shields on/upon/above=him/it all/each/any/every the=day and=between shoulders_of,his rests )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of security, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [lives securely]

Note 3 topic: writing-pronouns

עָלָ֑יו חֹפֵ֤ף עָלָיו֙ כָּל־הַיּ֔וֹם וּבֵ֥ין כְּתֵיפָ֖יו שָׁכֵֽן

on/upon/above=him/it shields on/upon/above=him/it (Some words not found in UHB: of,Benjamin he/it_had_said beloved_of YHWH rests to,security on/upon/above=him/it shields on/upon/above=him/it all/each/any/every the=day and=between shoulders_of,his rests )

The pronoun him in the phrase “beside him” refers to Yahweh and both He in “He covers” and he in “he lives” refer to Yahweh. The second him in “covers him” and his in “his shoulders” refer to the tribe of Benjamin. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [beside Yahweh. Yahweh covers Benjamin all the day, and between Benjamin’s shoulders Yahweh lives]

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

וּבֵ֥ין כְּתֵיפָ֖יו שָׁכֵֽן

and=between (Some words not found in UHB: of,Benjamin he/it_had_said beloved_of YHWH rests to,security on/upon/above=him/it shields on/upon/above=him/it all/each/any/every the=day and=between shoulders_of,his rests )

This could have one of two meanings, both of which mean that Yahweh takes care of them. This could mean: (1) Yahweh lives in Jerusalem in the hilly area which was, at least for a time, part of Benjamin’s territory. Those hills are pictured as shoulders. Alternate translation: [and on the hills of Benjamin he lives] or (2) Yahweh protects the tribe of Benjamin with his power. Alternate translation: [he lives securely with Yahweh]
