The point of this comparison is that just as a lion is undaunted by the shouts of the shepherds who come against it and it refuses to abandon its prey, so Yahweh of Armies will not be deterred from coming down to fight on Mount Zion. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [As a lion that growls over its prey cannot be frightened away by the shepherds who gather against it, no matter how much they yell and make noise]
