OET (OET-RV) Everyone who wants to understand needs to listen to what God’s spirit is saying to the assemblies.”
In this section, Jesus spoke to the people who believed in him at Philadelphia. He prophesied that they would have an opportunity to do great things for him. He said that the Jews there would acknowledge that God loves the believers. Jesus then also said that he would protect them from a time of hardship. He encouraged them to remain strong in their faith. Lastly, he gave a promise to any believer who persevered in his faith.

¶ Everyone who has ears that can hear should give careful attention to what the Holy Spirit says to the gatherings of believers.
¶ Whoever is able to hear should understand and heed/obey what God’s Spirit says to the communities of God’s people.

3:7-13 The letter to the church in Philadelphia encourages Christians who seem to be weak and powerless to realize that their true strength is in Christ. This comforting message includes no words of disapproval. The Kingdom of God does not depend on human strength or wisdom but on God’s power and authority.
