BrLXXΚαὶ ἔσται, ἐὰν ἄξιος ἠ· πληγῶν ὁ ἀσεβῶν, καθιεῖς αὐτὸν ἔναντι τῶν κριτῶν, καὶ μαστιγώσουσιν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν ἀσέβειαν αὐτοῦ.

BrTrthen it shall come to pass, if the unrighteous should be worthy of stripes, thou shalt lay him down before the judges, and they shall scourge him before them according to his iniquity.

ULTAnd if the wicked man is a son of striking, then the judge shall cause him to lie down and be beaten before his face as is enough in number for his wickedness.

USTIf the judge says that the guilty person must be punished, he shall command him to lie with his face on the ground and be whipped. The number of times he is struck with a whip will depend on what kind of crime he committed.
