4:9-17 The near-starvation diet of eight ounces of food and a jar of water for each day represent siege rations and reflect a desperate situation in which there was not enough of any one kind of grain to make a whole loaf.

“Lord Yahweh, it would be wrong for me to do that.” Ezekiel is very troubled by what the Lord has told him to do.

(Occurrence 0) Lord Yahweh

See how you translated this in Ezekiel 2:4. Here Ezekiel is speaking to the Lord.

(Occurrence 0) foul meat has never entered my mouth

Alternate translation: “I have never eaten foul meat”

(Occurrence 0) foul meat

(Some words not found in UHB: and,said ah my=master GOD see/lo/see! self_of,me not defiled and,what_died and,was_torn_by_animals not eaten from,youth,my and=unto now and=not entered in/on/at/with,mouth,my meat unclean )

“disgusting, unclean meat.” This refers to meat that is unclean because it has come from an animal that has died of sickness or old age or was killed by another animal. The word “foul” shows his disgust over meat like this.
