TSNTyndale Study Notes:

3:15 left-handed (literally restricted in the right hand): This characteristic enabled Ehud to hide his weapon on the right hip. The Greek Old Testament translates this phrase to mean “ambidextrous.” The term used here is associated with the tribe of Benjamin (“son of my right hand,” Gen 35:18; see Judg 20:16) and was connected with heroic military skills (cp. 1 Chr 12:1-2).
• The tribute money was either pieces of metal or, more likely, agricultural goods requiring a team of bearers (Judg 3:18).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

וַיָּקֶם֩ יְהוָ֨ה לָהֶ֜ם מוֹשִׁ֗יעַ

and,raised_up YHWH to/for=them deliverer

See how you translated the same expression in 2:16. Alternate translation: “and Yahweh provided a savior for them” or “and Yahweh provided someone to deliver them”

Note 2 topic: translate-names

אֶת־אֵה֤וּד בֶּן־גֵּרָא֙

DOM ʼĒhūd son_of Gērāʼ

The words Ehud and Gera are the names of men.

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

אִ֥ישׁ אִטֵּ֖ר יַד־יְמִינ֑וֹ

(a)_man bound_of hand_of right_of,him

The author is speaking as if the Ehud literally had some limitation in the use of his right hand. In the context of this culture, the phrase probably indicates that he could use his left hand better than he could use his right hand but that he actually had no restriction in the use of either hand. If it would be clearer in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “a left-handed man”

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche

וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל בְּיָדוֹ֙ מִנְחָ֔ה

and,sent sons_of Yisrael in=his/its=hand donation/offering

The author is using the hand of Ehud to represent Ehud himself in the act of bringing tribute to Israel. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “And the sons of Israel sent tribute with Ehud”
