9:35 The voice from the cloud recalls God’s voice at Jesus’ baptism (3:22).
• My Chosen One alludes to Isa 42:1, identifying Jesus as the suffering servant of the Lord.
• Listen to him is from Deut 18:15, identifying Jesus as “the prophet like Moses” (see Acts 3:22; 7:37).
