Although the terms His, him, and he are masculine, Solomon is using these words in a generic sense that includes both men and women. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use phrases that make this clear. In this verse, Solomon speaks of a wicked person being unable to avoid the consequences of his iniquities and sin as if those iniquities and sin were people who could capture or grasp that person. Alternate translation: “He will not escape being punished for his iniquities … and he is trapped because of the cords of his sin”
