OET (OET-LV) But Petros said to him:
The silver of_you, it_might_be to destruction with you, because you_thought to_be_acquiring the gift of_ the _god by money.
OET (OET-RV) But Peter responded, “May your money join you in your destruction because you thought you could buy God’s gift with it.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / exclamations
τὸ ἀργύριόν σου, σὺν σοὶ εἴη εἰς ἀπώλειαν
the silver ˱of˲_you with you ˱it˲_might_be to destruction
Peter is using the exclamation form to emphasize how forcefully he rejects Simon’s offer. You may want to use an exclamation to convey this same emphasis in your language. Alternate translation: “I refuse your offer! I can see that you are going to perdition, and you can take your money with you!”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
τὸ ἀργύριόν
the silver
Peter is referring to money by association with the way that silver was used for money at this time. Alternate translation: “money”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
τὴν δωρεὰν τοῦ Θεοῦ
the gift ¬the ˱of˲_God
Peter is referring to the ability to confer the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands. Since this is an ability that only God can give, by association Peter calls it the gift of God. Alternate translation: “the power to confer the Holy Spirit”
8:9-24 Simon the sorcerer was a showman, dazzling the people of Samaria and making self-exalting claims. Simon’s attempt to obtain spiritual power through payment gave the name simony to the later corrupt practice of buying and selling ordination to church leadership (cp. 1 Tim 6:9-10). Peter strongly rebuked Simon’s wickedness.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
