OET (OET-LV)And Simōn Petros and the_other apprentice/follower was_following.
the with_Yaʸsous.
And the that apprentice/follower was known to_the chief_priest, and he_entered_with the with_Yaʸsous into the courtyard of_the chief_priest.

OET (OET-RV)Now Simon Peter and another apprentice were following Yeshua, and since that other apprentice was known to the chief priest, he was allowed to enter following Yeshua into the courtyard of the chief priest

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

ἠκολούθει & τῷ Ἰησοῦ & ἄλλος μαθητής. ὁ δὲ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος ἦν γνωστὸς τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ, καὶ συνεισῆλθεν

˓was˒_following & ¬the ˱with˲_Jesus & ˓the˒_other disciple ¬the (Some words not found in SR-GNT: ἠκολούθει Δέ τῷ Ἰησοῦ Σίμων Πέτρος καί ἄλλος μαθητής ὁ Δέ μαθητής ἐκεῖνος ἦν γνωστός τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ καί συνεισῆλθεν τῷ Ἰησοῦ εἰς τήν αὐλήν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως)

Here, another disciple and that disciple could refer to: (1) the apostle John, who wrote this Gospel. This interpretation would mean that these phrases would be similar to the phrase “the other disciple, whom Jesus loved” that occurs in ([20:2](../20/02.md)). Alternate translation: [I, another disciple, followed Jesus. Now I was known to the high priest, and I entered] (2) an unknown disciple. Alternate translation: [a certain disciple, followed Jesus. Now that other disciple was known to the high priest, and he entered]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

ὁ δὲ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος ἦν γνωστὸς τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ

¬the (Some words not found in SR-GNT: ἠκολούθει Δέ τῷ Ἰησοῦ Σίμων Πέτρος καί ἄλλος μαθητής ὁ Δέ μαθητής ἐκεῖνος ἦν γνωστός τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ καί συνεισῆλθεν τῷ Ἰησοῦ εἰς τήν αὐλήν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως)

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [Now the high priest knew that disciple]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ & τοῦ ἀρχιερέως

¬the ˱to˲_the chief_priest & ˱of˲_the chief_priest

In verses 15–23, the high priest refers to Annas, which is indicated in [18:13](../18/13.md). It does not refer to Caiaphas. You could include this information if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [to the high priest Annas … of Annas]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

18:15 That other disciple is unnamed but was probably the “disciple Jesus loved” (13:23)—John, the author of this Gospel.
