TSNTyndale Study Notes:

12:2 green tree: The Canaanites selected groves of trees for worship sites because their lush foliage demonstrated fertility. Sometimes trees were stylized in the form of wooden poles driven into the ground and dedicated to the worship of the mother goddess, Asherah (see 7:5).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / reduplication

אַבֵּ֣ד תְּ֠אַבְּדוּן

to_destroy you_all_destroy,

Moses is repeating forms of the verb destroy in order to intensify the idea that it expresses. If your language can repeat words for intensification, it would be appropriate to do that here in your translation. If not, your language may have another way of expressing the emphasis. Alternate translation: [You shall surely destroy]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / infostructure

which/who served there the=nations which/who you_all dispossess DOM=them DOM gods_of,their

If it would be more natural in your language, you could change the phrasing so that it is clear what the places were used for. Alternate translation: [where the enemies who you will dispossess served their gods]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

הַגּוֹיִ֗ם

the=nations

Here, nations represents the people groups that live in the land that the Israelites will conquer. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression from your language or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [your enemies]
