ClVgOstendam tibi: audi me: quod vidi, narrabo tibi.[fn]
(Ostendam tibi: listen me: that vidi, narrabo tibi. )

15.17 Ostendam tibi. Quia cum minori auctoritate docet is qui audita, quam is qui ea quæ viderat, loquitur, ut fortiorem auctoritatem sibi Eliphaz arrogaret, dicit: Quod vidi narrabo tibi. Proprium arrogantis, etc., usque ad quas auctoritate Patrum munit.

15.17 Ostendam tibi. Because when/with minori auctoritate teaches is who audita, how is who ea which viderat, loquitur, as fortiorem auctoritatem sibi Eliphaz arrogaret, he_says: That I_saw narrabo tibi. Proprium arrogantis, etc., until to which auctoritate Patrum munit.

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

15:17-19 before any foreigners arrived: Eliphaz’s contempt for foreign ideas is ironic because wisdom literature has a more international flavor than is characteristic of other Old Testament writings.
