For poetic purposes, Isaiah is using two different words that have basically the same meaning. The ULT translates each one with a form of “kindle” because English does not have two different words that it can use in this context. But if your language does, it would be appropriate to use them here.

Here Yahweh is speaking of people who rely on their own plans instead of on him as if they were kindlers of fire and ones girding on torches who make their own light. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [all of you who rely on your own plans]

Yahweh is not referring to specific kindlers of fire. He means such people in general. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use an expression that would be more natural in your language. Alternate translation: [all of you who kindle fires]

Yahweh is using kindlers of fire as a common expression of the culture to mean people who make their own plans instead of relying on Yahweh. If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [all of you who plot your own course] or [all of you who follow your own schemes]

The word translated as walk is an imperative, but it communicates a condition rather than a command. If the imperative does not communicate a condition for your readers, then use a form in your language that communicates a condition. Alternate translation: [you who walk in the light of your fire and in the torches you have kindled]

Here, my hand represents “my power” or “my action.” If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [This will be for you by my power]

The pronoun This refers to the punishment that Yahweh describes next, that they will lie down in anguish. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [This punishment will be for you from my hand]

Yahweh is referring to death in a polite way by using the phrase lie down. Depending on what is helpful for your readers, you could use a polite way of referring to this in your language, or you could state this plainly. Alternate translation: [you will pass away in anguish]

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of anguish, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [while suffering greatly]
