uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

פָּתַֽח לִ֣י אֹ֔זֶן

opened to=me ear

The servant is using opened for me an ear as a common expression of the culture to mean “that Yahweh has enabled him to hear and obey.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [has enabled me to hear and obey]

Note 2 topic: writing-pronouns

וְאָנֹכִ֖י לֹ֣א מָרִ֑יתִי

and,I not rebellious

Isaiah is stating the pronoun I separately, even though the verb translated as I did not rebel already includes this meaning. He is doing that to emphasize his obedience to Yahweh. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the meaning here. Alternate translation: [and I, the servant, did not rebel]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

אָח֖וֹר לֹ֥א נְסוּגֹֽתִי

back not turn

Isaiah is using turn backward as a common expression of the culture to mean “to stop following and obeying Yahweh.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [I did not stop obeying him]
