OET (OET-LV)And_ Yōnātān _stripped DOM the_robe which on/upon/above_him/it and_gave_it to_Dāvid and_armor_of_his and_unto sword_of_his and_unto bow_of_his and_unto belt_of_his.

OET (OET-RV)Yonatan took off the cloak that he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his armour, his sword and bow, and even his belt.

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-symaction

and,stripped Yōnātān/(Jonathan) DOM the,robe which/who on/upon/above=him/it and,gave,it to,David and,armor_of,his and=unto sword_of,his and=unto bow_of,his and=unto belt_of,his

This was a symbolic action by which Jonathan pledged to protect David and provide for him as a faithful friend. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could explain the significance of this action. Alternate translation: [And to show that as a faithful friend he would protect David and provide for him, Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his military tunic, his sword, his bow, and his belt]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וּמַדָּ֕יו

and,armor_of,his

The expression garments means the same thing here as in [17:38](../17/38.md). See how you translated it there. Alternate translation: [and his military tunic]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / infostructure

וְעַד־חַרְבּ֥וֹ וְעַד־קַשְׁתּ֖וֹ וְעַד־חֲגֹרֽוֹ

and=unto sword_of,his and=unto bow_of,his and=unto belt_of,his

Since this belt would have been used to hold on a sword, as in as in [17:38](../17/38.md), you may wish to put these terms together. Alternate translation: [and even his sword and belt and even his bow]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

18:3-4 Out of his love for David and recognition that God had chosen David to be Israel’s next king (see 20:13-17, 30-31; 23:17), Jonathan made a solemn pact of friendship with David. By giving David items that symbolized his official status as the king’s son and crown prince, Jonathan symbolically gave David his right of succession to the throne.
