TSNTyndale Study Notes:

18:1 In Roman times, Greek political power in Achaia resided in Corinth, a prominent city-state and major commercial city. Corinth was notorious for its prostitution, immorality, and drunkenness (see 1 Corinthians Book Introduction, “Setting”). Paul invested much time and effort establishing a Christian community in Corinth (see study note on Acts 16:8).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-newevent

μετὰ ταῦτα

after these_‹things›

Luke is using the phrase After these things to introduce a new event in the story. Use a word, phrase, or other method in your language that is natural for introducing a new event.

Note 2 topic: writing-pronouns

ἦλθεν

˱he˲_came

The pronoun he refers to Paul. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “Paul went”
