and=they_were all/each/any/every days_of Metushelah/Methuselah nine and=sixty year and=nine hundreds year

Make sure that the name Methuselah is spelled consistently in your translation of verses 21-22, 25-27. Alternate translation: “So he lived a total of 969 years,” or “So all together he lived 969 years,”

וַ⁠יָּמֹֽת

and=he/it_died

Alternate translation: “before he died.”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

5:27 969 years: This statement and the numbers given in 5:25, 28 and 7:6 mean that Methuselah died in the year of the flood.
