BrTr And the Lord magnified Solomon over all Israel, and gave him royal glory, such as was not upon any king before him.

UST Yahweh caused all the Israelite people to highly respect Solomon. Yahweh gave him a splendorous kingdom. No king of Israel who served Yahweh received such a kingdom like Solomon did.

29:21-25 Sacrifices followed the speeches and prayers at Solomon’s coronation. Solomon and Zadok were anointed, and Solomon acceded to the throne. Zadok was not beginning his priestly role but was being dedicated to serve in the Temple itself. (The descendants of Zadok are mentioned in Ezek 40:46; 43:19; 44:15; 48:11.)
