TSNTyndale Study Notes:

23:10-12 Renewal, rest (23:12), and refreshment are important. Just as humans and animals are to enjoy these in the weekly Sabbath, so the land is to be given rest every seven years (23:10-11; see study note on 20:8-11).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-ordinal

וְהַשְּׁבִיעִ֞ת

and,the,seventh

If your language does not use ordinal numbers, you can use cardinal numbers here. Alternate translation: [But year 7]

Note 2 topic: translate-unknown

תִּשְׁמְטֶ֣נָּה וּנְטַשְׁתָּ֗הּ

let_~_rest,it and,lie_fallow,it

This means to leave the land fallow, that is, in its natural state, unplowed, unplanted, not used to grow food.

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וְאָֽכְלוּ֙ אֶבְיֹנֵ֣י עַמֶּ֔ךָ

and,eat poor_of people_of,your

The poor can eat any food that grows on its own in a field that is not cultivated. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could express that explicitly. Alternate translation: [so the poor among your people may harvest and eat any food that grows on its own in that field]
