TSNTyndale Study Notes:

33:14 I will give you rest: Literally a place to roost, as in a place where a bird can land and be at peace. Ever since Abraham left Ur, he and his descendants had had no such place.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

פָּנַ֥י יֵלֵ֖כוּ

presence_of,my go

Yahweh’s face represents his presence, which represents himself. Alternate translation: “I will go”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

פָּנַ֥י יֵלֵ֖כוּ וַהֲנִחֹ֥תִי לָֽךְ

presence_of,my go and,give_~_rest to/for=you(fs)

The preposition connected to you here has a very flexible meaning and seems to be connected to both will go and will cause rest. If this would be unclear, consider repeating it in both clauses. Alternate translation: “My face will go with you and I will cause rest for you”

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / yousingular

לָֽךְ

to/for=you(fs)

The word you here refers to Moses. It is singular.
