When I plead toward You,
Only, let me speak judgments with You,
Why did the way of the wicked prosper? All treacherous dealers have been at rest.

FBV Lord, when I complain to you, you always show yourself to be in the right. Even so I still want to present my case to you. Why is it that wicked people do so well? Why do those who are unfaithful to you live so comfortably?

LUT HErr, wenn ich gleich mit dir rechten wollte, so behältst du doch recht; dennoch muß ich vom Recht mit dir reden. Warum gehet es doch den GOttlosen so wohl, und die Verächter haben alles die Fülle?
