Yahweh is using the adjective great as a noun to mean a certain kind of person. Your language may use adjectives in the same way. If not, you can translate this adjective with an equivalent phrase. Alternate translation: [among the great people]

Some ancient manuscripts read “great.” The ULT follows that reading. Other ancient manuscripts read “many.” If a translation of the Bible exists in your region, you may wish to use the reading that it uses. If a translation of the Bible does not exist in your region, you may wish to use the reading of the ULT.

Here Yahweh is speaking of the reward he will give the servant as if the servant were a victorious warrior who will divide the spoil with other soldiers after a battle. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and I will give him a rich reward along with the powerful]

הֶעֱרָ֤ה לַ⁠מָּ֨וֶת֙ נַפְשׁ֔⁠וֹ

Here Isaiah speaks of Yahweh’s servant pouring out his life as if he had exposed his soul to death. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [he poured out his life] or [he willingly submitted to execution]

וְ⁠אֶת פֹּשְׁעִ֖ים נִמְנָ֑ה

and=DOM and=DOM transgressors numbered

Yahweh is using he was numbered with transgressors as a common expression of the culture to mean “people counted him as a criminal.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and people counted him as a criminal] or [and people considered him to be a criminal]

The expression was numbered is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [people counted him] or [people considered him]

חֵטְא רַבִּ֣ים נָשָׂ֔א

sin_of many bore

Here Yahweh is speaking as if the sin of many people were a heavy burden that the servant bore. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [he received the punishment for the sins of many people] or [he suffered the punishment for the sins of many people]

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of sin, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [what many people had sinned]
