BrTr Therefore he shall inherit many, and he shall divide the spoils of the mighty; because his soul was delivered to death: and he was numbered among the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and was delivered because of their iniquities.
ULT Therefore, I shall give him a portion among the multitude,
⇔ and with the many he will divide the spoils,
⇔ because he exposed his life to death
⇔ and with the transgressors was numbered.
⇔ For he bore the sin of many
⇔ and for the transgressors made intercession.
UST So Yahweh will share with many people the spoils he has won from his enemies.
⇔ His servant will be like a king who divides the spoils among his soldiers,
⇔ because he put himself in danger of dying and did in fact die.
⇔ Even though people had considered him to be a sinner,
⇔ he removed the guilt of many people,
⇔ and he interceded for those who have done things that are wrong.
BSB Therefore I will allot Him a portion with the great,[fn]
⇔ and He will divide the spoils with the strong,[fn]
⇔ because He has poured out His life unto death,
⇔ and He was numbered with the transgressors.[fn]
⇔ Yet He bore the sin of many
⇔ and made intercession for the transgressors.
OEB ⇔ For this he will win with the great an inheritance,
⇔ he with the strong will divide the spoil;
⇔ because he had poured out his soul unto death,
⇔ and had suffered himself to be numbered with rebels;
⇔ though the sins that he bore were the sins of the world,
⇔ and for those very rebels he had offered his prayer.’
WEBBE Therefore I will give him a portion with the great.
⇔ He will divide the plunder with the strong,
⇔ because he poured out his soul to death
⇔ and was counted with the transgressors;
⇔ yet he bore the sins of many
⇔ and made intercession for the transgressors.
WMBB (Same as above)
MSG (11-12)Out of that terrible travail of soul,
he’ll see that it’s worth it and be glad he did it.
Through what he experienced, my righteous one, my servant,
will make many “righteous ones,”
as he himself carries the burden of their sins.
Therefore I’ll reward him extravagantly—
the best of everything, the highest honors—
Because he looked death in the face and didn’t flinch,
because he embraced the company of the lowest.
He took on his own shoulders the sin of the many,
he took up the cause of all the black sheep.
NET So I will assign him a portion with the multitudes,
⇔ he will divide the spoils of victory with the powerful,
⇔ because he willingly submitted to death
⇔ and was numbered with the rebels,
⇔ when he lifted up the sin of many
⇔ and intervened on behalf of the rebels.”
LSV Therefore I give a portion to Him among the many,
And He apportions spoil with the mighty,
Because that He exposed His soul to death,
And He was numbered with transgressors,
And He has borne the sin of many,
And He intercedes for transgressors.
FBV That's why I'm going to grant him a place among the great, and give him the prize of the victorious, because he poured out his life in death and was counted as one of the rebels. He took on himself the sins of many and asked forgiveness for the rebels.
T4T So Yahweh will consider him to be one of the truly great people;
⇔ he will be like a king who divides up among his soldiers the ◄spoils/things they took from their enemies after defeating them► [MET],
⇔ because he will sacrifice himself and die.
⇔ Even though people will consider him to be a sinner,
⇔ he will remove the guilt of many people,
⇔ and he will intercede/pray that those who have done things that are wrong will be forgiven.
LEB • a portion among the many,[fn] and with the strong ones he will divide bounty, • [fn] he poured his life out to death • and was counted with the transgressors; • and[fn] he was the one who bore the sin of many • and will intercede for the transgressors.
BBE For this cause he will have a heritage with the great, and he will have a part in the goods of war with the strong, because he gave up his life, and was numbered with the evil-doers; taking on himself the sins of the people, and making prayer for the wrongdoers.

• He was counted among the rebels: Rebels (Hebrew poshe‘im) is a stronger word than sinners and is a key word in Isaiah. It refers to those who are in willful defiance of a lawful authority, in this case, God.
• interceded for rebels: The servant would pray for sinners in the midst of his suffering (see Exod 32:30; Luke 23:34).
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / parallelism
(Occurrence 0) Therefore will I give him his portion among the multitudes, and he will divide the spoils with the many
(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence allot_~_aportion to=him/it in/on/at/with,great and=DOM strong divide spoil below/instead_of which/who poured_out to_the,death life,his and=DOM transgressors numbered and=he sin many bore and,for_the,transgressors made_intercession )
These two clauses mean basically the same thing. “Portion” and “spoils” refer to a king after a victorious battle sharing the plunder or rewards with his army. This means God will greatly honor his servant because of his sacrifice. (See also: figs-metaphor)
(Occurrence 0) the multitudes
(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence allot_~_aportion to=him/it in/on/at/with,great and=DOM strong divide spoil below/instead_of which/who poured_out to_the,death life,his and=DOM transgressors numbered and=he sin many bore and,for_the,transgressors made_intercession )
Many versions interpret this expression as “the many” or “the strong.”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
(Occurrence 0) because he exposed himself to death
(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence allot_~_aportion to=him/it in/on/at/with,great and=DOM strong divide spoil below/instead_of which/who poured_out to_the,death life,his and=DOM transgressors numbered and=he sin many bore and,for_the,transgressors made_intercession )
“Exposed” means to be vulnerable or unprotected. The servant of Yahweh put himself in a situation where he would die. Alternate translation: “he willingly accepted the possibility of death”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
(Occurrence 0) was numbered with the transgressors
(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence allot_~_aportion to=him/it in/on/at/with,great and=DOM strong divide spoil below/instead_of which/who poured_out to_the,death life,his and=DOM transgressors numbered and=he sin many bore and,for_the,transgressors made_intercession )
If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “allowed people to treat him as a criminal”
