TSNTyndale Study Notes:

29:2 Although elsewhere Job uses the Hebrew shamar to describe what he perceived as God’s oppressive surveillance (10:14; 13:27; 14:16), here it refers to God’s kindly care (“watch(es) over,” Ps 121:3-8).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

מִֽי־יִתְּנֵ֥נִי כְיַרְחֵי

who? long,I as,months

See how you translated the expression Who will give in 11:5–6. Alternate translation: “Oh that I were as I was in the months of”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

כְיַרְחֵי־קֶ֑דֶם כִּ֝ימֵ֗י אֱל֣וֹהַּ יִשְׁמְרֵֽנִי

as,months gone_by as,days god watched_over,me

Job is using the terms months and days to refer to a specific time. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “to be as I was in time past, as in the time when God kept me”
