OET (OET-LV)And_he/it_commanded on/upon/above_him/it Parˊoh men and_sent_away DOM_him/it and_DOM his/its_wife/woman and_DOM all_of that to_him/it.

OET (OET-RV)Then Far’oh commanded his officers, and they sent Abram and his wife away and everything that belonged to him.

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-names

וַיְצַ֥ו & פַּרְעֹ֖ה

and=he/it_commanded & Parˊoh

Consider again how you translated Pharaoh in verses 15-18, 20. It may be helpful to read this section aloud to make sure it is clear and natural in your language. Alternate translation: [Then King Pharaoh gave orders to] or [Then the Egyptian king ordered] or [Then the king of Egypt ordered]

אֲנָשִׁ֑ים

men

Alternate translation: [some of his men]

Note 2 topic: writing-pronouns

עָלָ֛יו

on/upon/above=him/it

Throughout this verse, make sure it is clear in your translation who is being referred to. Alternate translation: [about Abram] or [with regard to Abram]

Note 3 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result

וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ

and,sent_~_away DOM=him/it

Alternate translation: [so they deported him from their country] or [so they expelled him from Egypt]

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / genericnoun

וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לֽוֹ

and=DOM and=DOM all/each/any/every which/who to=him/it

The phrase everything that belonged to him represents all the possessions that Abram owned, including his slaves, animals, and everything else that he owned, but it does not refer to any one particular possession. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a more natural expression. Alternate translation: [and all that he had] or [all his possessions]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

12:20 No answer to Pharaoh’s questions (12:18-19) was needed, because the rebuke was followed by expulsion. Pharaoh’s command paralleled God’s command to Abram (12:1), but Pharaoh’s demand brought shame and disgrace. God was faithful in preserving his promise.
