Make sure that your translation of in his eyes refers here to Joseph’s master, not Yahweh. In the second clause of the first sentence, the pronoun he refers to Joseph, while the pronoun him refers to Potiphar. Alternate translation: [Since Joseph pleased Potiphar, he became Potiphar’s special servant]
