uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / yousingular

וְאַתָּ֣ה

(Some words not found in UHB: and=you(ms) take to/for=yourself(m) from=all food which/who eaten and,you_will_gather_[it] to,yourself and=it_was to/for=yourself(m) and,for,them for=food )

Although the pronoun you is singular in the Hebrew text in [verse 21](../06/21.md), it could be translated as plural, since God’s instructions apply to Noah and his family, not just Noah. Or you could make his family explicit. Alternate translation: [You and your family]

קַח־לְךָ֗

take to/for=yourself(m)

Alternate translation: [must also gather and take]

מִכָּל־מַֽאֲכָל֙

(Some words not found in UHB: and=you(ms) take to/for=yourself(m) from=all food which/who eaten and,you_will_gather_[it] to,yourself and=it_was to/for=yourself(m) and,for,them for=food )

אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵֽאָכֵ֔ל

Alternate translation: [that is eaten by people and animals] or [that you and all the animals will need]

וְאָסַפְתָּ֖ אֵלֶ֑יךָ

(Some words not found in UHB: and=you(ms) take to/for=yourself(m) from=all food which/who eaten and,you_will_gather_[it] to,yourself and=it_was to/for=yourself(m) and,for,them for=food )

Alternate translation: [and put it on the ark with you]

וְהָיָ֥ה & לְאָכְלָֽה

and=it_was & for=food

Alternate translation: [This will be the food supply]
