UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

(Occurrence 0) when the Lord will have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion

(Some words not found in UHB: if washed_away my=master DOM filth daughters_of Tsiyyōn/(Zion) and=DOM bloods_of Yerushalayim cleansed from,midst,her in/on/at/with,spirit judgement and,in/on/at/with,spirit burning )

This expression speaks of sin as if it were physical dirt. Alternate translation: “after the Lord removes the sins of the daughters of Zion as someone washes away filth”

(Occurrence 0) the daughters of Zion

(Some words not found in UHB: if washed_away my=master DOM filth daughters_of Tsiyyōn/(Zion) and=DOM bloods_of Yerushalayim cleansed from,midst,her in/on/at/with,spirit judgement and,in/on/at/with,spirit burning )

This could mean: (1) the women of Jerusalem or (2) the people of Jerusalem.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

(Occurrence 0) will have cleansed the blood stains from Jerusalem’s midst

(Some words not found in UHB: if washed_away my=master DOM filth daughters_of Tsiyyōn/(Zion) and=DOM bloods_of Yerushalayim cleansed from,midst,her in/on/at/with,spirit judgement and,in/on/at/with,spirit burning )

“Blood stains” here represents violence and murder. Alternate translation: “will have taken away those in Jerusalem who harm innocent people”

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

(Occurrence 0) by means of the spirit of judgment and the spirit of flaming fire

This is how God would remove the sin from Jerusalem. Here “spirit” probably represents the activity of judging and burning. Alternate translation: “by judgment and flaming fire”

(Occurrence 0) spirit of judgment

(Some words not found in UHB: if washed_away my=master DOM filth daughters_of Tsiyyōn/(Zion) and=DOM bloods_of Yerushalayim cleansed from,midst,her in/on/at/with,spirit judgement and,in/on/at/with,spirit burning )

This could mean: (1) Yahweh will punish the people or (2) Yahweh will declare the people guilty.

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

(Occurrence 0) the spirit of flaming fire

(Some words not found in UHB: if washed_away my=master DOM filth daughters_of Tsiyyōn/(Zion) and=DOM bloods_of Yerushalayim cleansed from,midst,her in/on/at/with,spirit judgement and,in/on/at/with,spirit burning )

This could mean: (1) this is a metaphor that means Yahweh will remove sinners from Zion like a fire removes impurities or (2) “flaming fire” is a metonym that represents the destruction in general of all the sinners. (See also: figs-metonymy)
