Phinees oris obduratio, vel ori parcens. Duos Phinees sacerdotes legimus: alterum justum Eleazari filium, alterum injustum, filium Heli. Sacerdotes, qui custodiunt os suum, ne exeat inde aliquod pravum, in filio Eleazari signantur. Qui autem os habent obturatum, vel imperitia, vel peccatorum conscientia, filio Heli figurantur. RAB. Refert Josephus, etc., usque ad et subditorum culpa illis imputabitur.

When people would offer animals as sacrifices, they would first burn the animal’s fat and then boil the meat and eat it.
