uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-unknown

בְּשָׂמִ֣ים

spices

These are parts of dried plants (other than the leaves) which people grind into a powder and put in oil or food to give it a nice smell or flavor. See how you translated this in Exodus 25:6.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis

חֲמֵ֣שׁ מֵא֔וֹת & חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתָ֑יִם & חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמָאתָֽיִם

five hundreds & fifty and,hundred & fifty and,hundred

The next verse mentions that these are shekel weight measurements. You may want to include some indication of that here. Alternate translation: “500 shekels … 250 shekels … 250 shekels”

Note 3 topic: translate-unknown

וְקִנְּמָן

and,cinnamon

We know that cinnamon is a sweet spice taken from the inside of the bark of a tree that grows in south-east Asia. See Wikipeda

Note 4 topic: translate-unknown

וּקְנֵה

and,cane

This plant is unknown to scholars. Alternate translation: “and reed of”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

30:22-38 Because God is absolutely unique (holy), what is used for his service cannot be used for any other purpose. This was the point made to Moses at the burning bush (see study note on 3:5). It was so vital for the people to understand this point that disobedience in this matter involved a severe punishment (30:33).
