OET (OET-RV)  ⇔ If my land cried out against me,
⇔ and the ploughed furrows wept together,

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / personification

אִם־עָ֭לַי אַדְמָתִ֣י תִזְעָ֑ק וְ֝יַ֗חַד תְּלָמֶ֥יהָ יִבְכָּיֽוּן

if against,me land,my cries_out and,together furrows,its wept,

Job is speaking of the soil on his land and its furrows as if they were living things that could cry out for justice and weep because of oppression. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly, in light of what Job says in the next verse. Alternate translation: “If I have committed a sin in the way that I have used my land”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

31:38 The land was the chief witness to crimes committed upon it (20:27; see Gen 4:10; cp. Jas 5:4).
