UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

(Occurrence 0) will you not judge them?

(Some words not found in UHB: God_of,our ?,not judge in/on/at/with,them that/for/because/then/when not in/on/at/with,we ability to=(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the,multitude the,great the=this the,coming against,us and,we not know what do that/for/because/then/when on,you eyes_of,our )

This rhetorical question is used as a request. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express this question as a statement. Alternate translation: “please judge them.”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche

(Occurrence 0) our eyes are on you

(Some words not found in UHB: God_of,our ?,not judge in/on/at/with,them that/for/because/then/when not in/on/at/with,we ability to=(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the,multitude the,great the=this the,coming against,us and,we not know what do that/for/because/then/when on,you eyes_of,our )

Here the people are represented by their “eyes” to emphasize that they are directing their attention to God. Alternate translation: “we are looking to you for help”
