TSNTyndale Study Notes:

6:1-25 Moses here explains how the stipulations in the following sections should be applied and handed on to future generations.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / reduplication

שָׁמ֣וֹר תִּשְׁמְר֔וּן

to_keep you_all_keep,

Moses is repeating forms of the verb keep in order to intensify the idea that it expresses. If your language can repeat words for intensification, it would be appropriate to do that here in your translation. If not, your language may have another way of expressing the emphasis.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo

אֶת־מִצְוֺ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם וְעֵדֹתָ֥יו וְחֻקָּ֖יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּֽךְ

DOM commands_of YHWH God_of,your_all's and,decrees_of,his and,statutes_of,his which/who commanded,you

The expression the commandments of Yahweh your God that he has commanded you contains extra information that would be unnatural to express in some languages. If this is true of your language, you could shorten the expression. Alternate translation: [the commandments of Yahweh your God and his testimonies and his statutes]
