IX; III Reg. 8.. BEDA. Sic anima pro diversis actionibus diversa nomina sortitur. Dum vivificat corpus, anima nominatur; dum vult, animus est; dum scit, mens est: dum recolit, memoria est; dum judicat, ratio est; dum spirat, spiritus est; dum sentit, sensus est.

40.16 And vectes. Vectis not/no solum parietes nectit, but and columnas introitus confirmat not corruant, aut from recto statu deflectant, because Master and utrumque the_people in una fide dilectionis sociavit, and their doctores, as in fide and actione and prælet_him_sayione perseverent, confortat. Nec mirum when/but_if and through capita ipsa, and through vectem capita herself continentem, Christus accipitur, because cuyusque electi regendo caput it_is, unde: Caput viri Christus est II Cor. 11.: and because not/no solum singulos to quærenda cœlestia erigit, but also everyone continet, and not from recto statu deflecti, but_not away invicem discordando possint separari, vinculo pacis confirmat. Cui simile it_is that Master it_is_said and agnus, and pastor, and ostium, when/with pastor agnum pascat, and ambo intrent through ostium; when/with properly let_it_be Verbum in at_the_beginning Yoan. 1, 10.: horum vero nullum let_it_be proprie, but figuraliter. Pastor, because ducit to pascua vitæ; ostium because not/no nisi through him arrivedur to Patrem; Agnus, because away Ægypto salvat. So and this through capita figuratur propter regimen, quo singulis præest, and through vectem, ob generalem providentiam, because everyone confirmat Num. IX; III Reg. 8.. BEDA. So anima for diversis actionibus diversa nomina sortitur. Dum vivificat body, anima nominatur; dum vult, animus est; dum scit, mens it_is: dum recolit, memoria est; dum yulet_him_say, ratio est; dum spirat, spiritus est; dum sentit, sensus it_is.

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

40:1-33 The report on setting up the Tabernacle begins with the Lord’s commands to do so (40:1-15) and continues with the report on how Moses obeyed those commands (40:16-33).
• The repeated statement that Moses did everything just as the Lord had commanded him (40:16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 2729, 32) is in radical contrast to Aaron’s self-serving statement in 32:22-24. God wishes to share his presence with us, but his holiness is such that this can occur only if we renounce our own efforts to secure his presence and gifts.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-newevent

This statement starts a new section in which Moses does all the things just as Yahweh had commanded; this poetic obedience statement was seen so often in the previous chapter. You may wish to mark this transition and poetic statement in a particular way in your language that is similar to how you did in the last chapter. See 39:32.
