TSNTyndale Study Notes:

20:4-26 That the Lord would not answer their inquiry did not mean that he had nothing to say to them. Ezekiel would parade the detestable character of their ancestors before their eyes.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / parallelism

(Occurrence 0) Will you judge them? Will you judge, son of man?

(Some words not found in UHB: ?,judge DOM=them ?,judge son_of humankind DOM abominations fathers, their know, them )

Yahweh asks Ezekiel the same question twice in order to secure Ezekiel’s commitment to pronounce the judgement. Alternate translation: “Are you ready to pronounce judgment on them, son of man?”
