כָּל־יָדַ֣יִם תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה וְ⁠כָל־לְבַ֥ב אֱנ֖וֹשׁ יִמָּס

all/each/any/every hands feeble and=all heart_of Enosh/humankind melt

Isaiah says all of the hands and every heart as an extreme statement for emphasis. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a different way to express the emphasis. Alternate translation: [everyone’s hands will drop and everyone’s heart will melt]

כָּל־יָדַ֣יִם תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה

all/each/any/every hands feeble

Here, all of the hands will drop represents the people losing their strength and courage. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [all the people will lose their strength and courage]

The masculine term man has a generic sense that includes both men and women. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use language in your translation that is clearly inclusive of both men and women. Alternate translation: [and every heart of every person]

Isaiah is speaking of the people’s courage, their heart, as if it were a solid object that could melt. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and everyone’s courage will fail]
