The point of this comparison is that just as destruction from Shaddai is sudden and devastating, so is the coming of the day of Yahweh. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [the day of Yahweh will come suddenly and devastatingly, just as destruction from Shaddai comes]
