Yahweh actually means to communicate the opposite of the literal meaning of what he is saying here. He calls the smooth stones of the stream bed the people’s portion to show that, by choosing idols, they have rejected the true inheritance he offers. If a speaker of your language would not do that, you could translate the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [You would rather worship smooth stones than the living God]

In verses 6-13 the word you is feminine singular because it refers to the the nation of Israel portrayed as an adultrous wife. So use the singular form in your translation if your language marks that distinction, and use the feminine form if your language marks that distinction.
